Geology and Geophysics at the USTHB in Algiers
Badley Ashton and Associates Ltd were invited by the Université des sciences et de la technologie Houari-Boumediene (USTHB) in Algiers to participate in a Geophysics and Geology event between the 4th and 8th of April 2021. The purpose of the initiative was to feed students with practical examples from the industry and get them to know more about the workflows/tools used in the Exploration and Production cycle. Badley Ashton’s team covered two topics “An introduction to the oil and gas geoscience disciplines” during day 1 and then a more focused subject “Reservoir engineering and FDP simulation” later during the week. It was a very enjoyable and interesting event and great to see both academia and industry meeting in order to support students’ development.
